The Hunter utilizes the same air bag and coverage as our ProAir vest but gets secured by a zipper instead of buckles. This refines the silhouette without changing the comfort or protection. We did this in response to riders who wanted a more fashionable vest, but still wanted top-level safety features.
Also, because of the lack of buckles, this is the vest for those who ride in a Western saddle. This way the buckles do not get hung up on the horn in the case of forward ejection or dismounting.
We'd also like to point out that this vest is a great choice for dressage since it has a cleaner, more elegant silhouette.
Unlike the ProAir, our Hunter air vest is designed to be worn on its own. Testing has proven this air vest to be more effective than a typical body protector when tested side-by-side. Point TwoAir Vests are the only air vests to be certified with SATRA M38 as an air vest on its own. See our safety page for more information on certification.
